1. Overview

Debt & Bills is a privacy-first tool. All calculations run entirely in your browser. We do not transmit your balances, interest rates, payments, debt lists, or letter drafts to any server — ours or anyone else’s. There is no account and no sign-up.

2. Letters are never uploaded

The negotiation letter generator assembles your letter on your device. The text of a letter — including any name, account number, or amount you type into it — is never transmitted. If you ask us to email you a follow-up schedule, the only thing sent to our server is your email address and the name of the letter template you used; the follow-up emails link back to the generator, which restores your draft from your own browser’s storage on the same device.

3. Data we collect

We collect analytics data only after you accept cookies. This includes:

• Pages visited and tool interactions (via Google Analytics 4)
• Browser type, device type, and approximate location (country/region)
• Session heatmaps (Microsoft Clarity, consent-gated)

Analytics events never include the numbers you type. An event may record that the payoff calculator was used; it never records the balance you entered.

4. Local storage

Saved plans, letter drafts, pinned calculators, theme choice and cookie consent are stored in your browser’s localStorage under keys beginning with dab-. This data stays on your device, is never read by our servers, and disappears if you clear your browser storage. The Debt-Free Date feature works entirely from this storage.

5. Email

If you subscribe to the newsletter or request a download, we store your email address, the page you signed up from, and which download you asked for — nothing else. Subscription is double opt-in and every email contains an unsubscribe link. We never sell or share the list.

6. Advertising

Pages may show ads served by Google AdSense once the site is approved for it. Ad personalization is subject to your consent choice and Google’s own policies. Some pages — the letter generator, the charity-care screener, the case tracker — never show ads at all, by design.

7. Contact and complaints

The contact form sends your message and email address to our backend, protected by Cloudflare Turnstile. For anything about this policy, write to [email protected]. You can also ask us to delete any email address we hold for you; there is nothing else to delete, because nothing else is stored.

8. Who we are

This site is operated by Cosyslabs Inc. (Ontario, Canada). It is a calculator and education site; it is not a lender, a debt relief company, a credit counselor, or a law firm.
